Fired up the M38 tonight. It ran really good. I think the accelerator pump needs to be rebuilt the carburetor. It has a low RPM stutter. I'm going to rebuild the carburetor this weekend. I purchased the master rebuild kit. I also noticed the coil gets hot when the 12 V supply stays on for a while but I'll look into a resistor for it. Did a bolt check on everything after running very small leaks here and there that which got fixed. I used Hagerty insurance and it's going to get registered at DMV this Friday.

Ordered the wiring kit from Joe @ vintage wiring of Maine. What a Top quality kit. I added a 1 wire GM alt. and turn signals which joe incorperates it all in to the existing harness. I have a 12 V starter so I had to make an MB style push button contact work I nstead of the 24 V style. I used 1155,1156 style bulbs in the black out lights. I also had to make my own oil pressure adapter to work as a mechanical guage. I added the horn button where the old fuel primer goes. I found a perfect push button switch that fits the look! If you have any questions on what modifications I did to make this work email me...

What a week. Ordered a lot of parts to finish up most of the jeep except the wiring harness. Got the wiper lines ran and plumbed up. Still waiting on the T valve. I used 1/4 brake lines from Napa auto and ordered clips/y connecters from McMaster Carr. Got the water can mounted, shovel and axe mounted, front windshield strap on. Some stickers came in for the guage panel and battery box. Ran the brass oil pressure line. I was thinking of a way to make the line look old and original. I ended up getting asphalt wire loom. Love the way it made it look old and stock. More post to come this week.

I found a original M38 gauge panel. Problem is someone cut a hogged out 3/4" hole where the high beam indicator hole is supposed to be. Cut 16 guage down to match hole, Tig welded silicon bronze, smoothed out, drilled new hole 1/4" center and added some glaze filler. Finish pictures up tomorrow.

Today I got a lot done. Got the intake crossover fab'd up to look like a M38 crossover. I added the fording valve to the MB crossover. It was eaiser to go this route since I have a civilian carburetor. Got the new radiator installed and the hood bolted down. I also got all the fluids in the jeep.  It's getting there!!!!

Working on the intake crossover. Had to use a MB style crossover because of the civilian Carb. I am modifying the crossover to fit correctly and to use the fording valve. I ended up Tig welding a square nut tapped out 1/8 npt to except the fording valve. I am also making the cable clamps that go on to the 2nd fording valve.  I ordered a new radiator. I put fresh oil in the engine and in a few weeks get it started up before I wire it completely
